EXCLUSIVE: Roberto Mancini 'really, really likes Arsenal'

Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini wants a Premier League return - and his chosen club is Arsenal.

Mancini and Inter Milan agreed a split last week, just a day after he was back in England to oversee the Nerazzuri's thumping by Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

The Italian has already fielded offers from China, but is eager for representatives to test the ground in England before making any final decision.

"Roberto has plans to return to the Premier League," a long time friend of Mancini's told Tribalfootball.com this morning.

"He likes Arsenal. He thinks they're a great a club. I must say I believe Arsenal would be a top choice for him."

Mancini, after winning the Premier League title at City, would prefer taking on a club capable of immediately challenging for titles.

Put to the source whether Mancini would consider a lower ranked club in the class of a West Brom, the response was clear.

"West Brom just isn't the right club for him," the confidant replied, "he prefers to take on a team at a club with strong ambitions.

"He really, really likes Arsenal."
