EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd talent Martial has plenty of time for improvement - Juventus hero Trezeguet

Former Juventus and France striker David Trezeguet is supremely confident that Anthony Martial will one day be judged as a top quality player.

The 20-year-old forward developed his game with French club Monaco, just as Trezeguet did before his successful shift to Italy back in 2000, before joining Manchester United on a big-money deal last summer.

Martial's debut season in England has been impressive at times, and although there have been some subpar showings, Trezeguet feels his fellow Frenchman has the scope to be a success.

“There is plenty of time for improvement," Trezeguet told Tribalfootball.com.

“He is lucky because he comes from a club in Monaco which is very good at working with young players.

“He has performed just as well individually at Man United, although the team probably hasn't done as well, but he personally has done so.

“There will be the time to judge him as a player but at the moment he is a great talent."

Trezeguet was in Melbourne speaking as his Juventus' ambassador at the launch of the 2016 International Champions Cup Australia, presented by Audi which takes place at the MCG between the Serie A champions, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, Premier League title-chasers Tottenham Hotspur and current A-League title holders Melbourne Victory in late July.
