Manchester United and Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Renato Sanches' situation at Bayern Munich.
Bayern trumped both Euro rivals last season to land the midfielder from Benfica.
However, Sanches has failed to settle in Munich and talk has emerged of him forcing a move this summer.
Sanches is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes, who has kept both Real and United up to speed on developments.
Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti has become so concerned that he insisted this week that Sanches was not for sale: "Renato will definitely be here next season, 100 percent.
"We will neither give him away nor loan him."
Earlier this season, United boss Jose Mourinho admitted frustration missing out on Sanches.
"I arrived late," Mourinho stated.
“I signed in May, we started talking a week before, but completely out of the process.
“If I had arrived earlier, I'd fight for him.
“Manchester United watched Renato many times and maybe I did it even more.
“In so much time at home, I watched many Benfica and Portuguese league games, I got to know the boy better with time.
“He's in a big club, in a league where he'll certainly be the champion. The club have players of very high level which belong to the structure, a little like Benfica."
