EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool legend Barnes: Klopp has 'brought harmony' to the club, where as Rodgers...

Despite having similar records as manager of Liverpool, the difference between Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers has been the former's ability to bring harmony to the club.

That is according to Liverpool legend John Barnes, who has spoken exclusively with Tribal Football.

Klopp currently has a 50% win record as Reds manager, the same percentage that Rodgers had when he was replaced by the German in 2015. After Klopp's 72nd Premier League match against Manchester City on Saturday, his record stands at 37 wins. Rodgers had 40 by this stage.

However, Barnes, who played over 300 games for the Reds, believes Klopp has done as good as he could have possibly done with the players in his possession, whilst also 'galvanising' the club as a whole.

The former England international said: "He has done well [Klopp]. What he has done is galvanise the team and the players and brought harmony to the club, in terms of the fans and the hierarchy, because everybody is pointed in the right direction.

"They may have similar records, however the harmony may not have been right [given] the fans turned against Brendan Rodgers.

"If games we went down or we weren't doing well, we didn't go on to win them where as under Klopp, we did it last year against [Borussia] Dortmund, when the fans stayed with the players and we come back and we won.

"I think what Jurgen Klopp has done is he has maximised the potential of the squad. Now obviously if you want to go on and win the Champions League or the [Premier] League, then maybe you need better players, but at this point in time, you cant ask anymore of Jurgen Klopp, he's doing the best with the players he has."
