PSG management are determined to keep hold of Marquinhos for next season.
The Brazilian has informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, during a meeting in Doha last week, he wanted to leave for Barcelona.
But Jonathan Beilin, a former scout with Nice, who has close ties to PSG, is adamant they will dig in their heels and refuse all offers for Marquinhos, who is again being linked with Manchester United and Chelsea this week.
Beilin told Tribalfootball.com: "I can tell you that PSG does not want to sell Marquinhos.
"Last year, they replied to Barcelona 'his price? €120-130m!'. It shows how they feel about him.
"This summer, he's had a discussion with the club to replace David Luiz in the first team. Unai Emery will work with him too."
Beilin reveals: "I have been told Emery remembers very well the game against Barcelona (3-2). Marquinhos was epic. Also, the fee would be very expensive, even for Barcelona.
"They are signing Samuel Umtiti (from Lyon), another great defender for €35m."
