EXCLUSIVE: Agent says Icardi arrival could spell Real Madrid end for Ronaldo and Zizou

Real Madrid are doing their background work on Mauro Icardi ahead of moving for the Inter Milan striker.

Real president Florentino Perez is lining up a January deal for the Argentine, though there have been concerns about the popstar lifestyle of the striker and his wife, Wanda Nara.

However, Italian agent and layer Valeri Militi, whose expertise is the LaLiga transfer market and has close ties to Real, says Perez will have run a background check on Icardi before making his move.

Militi told Tribalfootball.com: "Barcelona has almost won LaLiga and Real Madrid's board is already thinking about next season.

"They are already moving for the next year, although the moment of truth will be the clash against PSG in February. Icardi would be a very good option for Real Madrid. "His qualities are undeniable and now he is ready for a new experience in LaLiga. Even if right now it is hard to consider the effects of the presence of his wife, it is important to remember that in Madrid's locker room cohabit a lot of important and famous players, whom have wives as famous as them.

"Anyway, the board of Real Madrid always keeps track of this aspect."

Militi also hints Icardi's potential arrival could spell the end of Cristiani Ronaldo - and coach Zinedine Zidane.

"In regard to a possible cohabitation of Icardi and Cristiano, today there is no certainty that Ronaldo will end his career in Blanco. He's often repeated that he feels persecuted for the action from tax authorities.

"Clearly Ronaldo and Icardi could be a match on the pitch. But maybe Inter's captain could be the beginning of the new start after Zidane...?"
