EXCLUSIVE: '€100M not enough' for Man Utd to land Verratti

No matter what they offer, Manchester United will struggle to convince PSG to part with Marco Verratti.

United boss Jose Mourinho is willing to bid €100 million for the flashy Italy midfield schemer, but even that sort of money may not be enough.

Former Nice scout Jonathan Beilin, who has close ties to the Parisians, says PSG will be desperate not to lose Verratti this summer - no matter what Mourinho is willing to offer.

Beilin told Tribalfootball.com: "Unfortunately for Manchester, Verratti is the last player they want to lose. Even for Manchester, Verratti is too expensive... Paris will not accept any offer.

"Last year, Barcelona came for Marquinhos, Paris answered 'His price? €140m or €150m!

"You have to understand, they want to be at the top of the world and money is not something they need."

Beilin also questions whether Verratti actually has ambitions of playing in England.

He added: "Verratti wants to play in the Champions League... I do not think he is willing to play in the Premier League.

"It would be physically maybe too tough for his game. For example, David Silva has had many injuries over the years and he is not as 'fragile' as Verratti is."
