Excelsior are waiting on Feyenoord's pending sale of Jordy Clasie to Southampton.

RTV Rijnmond says Clasie's former club holds five per cent of any sell on fee for the Feyenoord captain.

The midfielder could sign for Southampton today for a fee in the region of €18 million.

Ferry de Haan, the CEO of Excelsior, has confirmed the existence of the sell-on clause.

Feyenoord will also lose a cut of Clasie's fee to the club's investors, known as the 'Promise Pool'.
