Former Wimbledon striker Alan Cork feels Brendan Rodgers will bring success and style to Liverpool.

Cork wrote in the Daily Star Sunday: "His arrival on Merseyside is a match made in heaven for both club and manager.

"Rodgers loves players to attack swiftly down the flanks and busy midfield players who rarely put a pass astray.

"It's been the Liverpool way since I care to remember.

"There were times I came off the pitch with my head spinning after playing against them in their pomp.

"Brendan, I am sure, will bring back those glory days."
