Former Wigan Athletic striker Mauro Boselli has been slammed by Palermo director Giorgio Perinetti.

Perinetti says the Argentine is a "symbol" of their failure this season.

"Boselli is the symbol of those who arrived in January," Perinetti told Mediagol.

"His poor form is explained by the precarious fitness levels with which he got here. The mid-season signings are very far behind the other players."
