Nigel Reo-Coker took a veiled swipe at the Vancouver Whitecaps team following Saturday's 1-0 loss to Real Salt Lake.
The former West Ham United and Aston Villa midfielder, known for not going backwards in coming forwards when it comes to criticism, was disappointed with the way the team set up against the Western Conference leaders.
Reo-Coker indirectly criticised Whitecaps head coach Martin Rennie as the Canadian club suffered a fourth defeat in their past seven games.
"They've played their system throughout the entire season, regardless of whoever they've played against, and they know how to play their system," said Reo-Coker, basically saying Vancouver did the opposite.
It's not the first time this season Reo-Coker has been harmful towards his team after labelling striker Darren Mattocks as selfish early in the campaign whilst calling the team soft following the May loss to RSL but his negative feedback simply shows he cares.
