Nigel Reo-Coker is set to be deployed in defence for Vancouver Whitecaps this weekend.
The Canadian club takes on DC United this weekend and head coach Martin Rennie may be forced to drop the former West Ham United and Aston Villa midfielder to right full-back in order to cover for Korean veteran Lee Young-pyo according to the man himself.
"I think you will see me in a different position this week," Reo-Coker told reporters on Wednesday.
"I'm up for the challenge. It's good. It's nice. Hopefully I can add a little bit more security to the back four.
"We've got to make sure we're solid. Defensively, we're still conceding goals. We need to tighten up defensively and we know that."
The Whitecaps are on a winning run with victories in their past two MLS outings over Chivas USA (3-1) and New England Revolution (4-3) ahead of their trip to bottom-placed DC.
