Portland Timbers have secured Frederic Piquionne to a new contract following his debut season with the MLS club.
The 35-year old French striker joined the Timbers from West Ham United on a one-year deal in February 2013 and has now penned an extension on the initial contract.
Piquionne, who has signed on for the 2014 campaign, scored seven goals and produced six assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for the Timbers in 2013.
