Ex-West Ham loanee John signs new FC Dallas deal

FC Dallas have confirmed the signing of George John to a multi-year deal.

The 25-year old defender, who had a brief loan spell with West Ham United at the start of the year, joined Dallas in 2009 and has since made 95 MLS appearances for the Texan outfit.

FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman was thrilled to have secured the services of John for the long-term.

"I am extremely happy to have George John resign with FC Dallas for multiple years," said Hyndman.

"George has developed into one of the premier center backs in Major League Soccer. Moving forward, his leadership qualities will be very important to the success of FC Dallas."
