George John is nearing his best form for FC Dallas after a stop-start season with the Texan club.
The 25-year old centre-back returned from his loan spell with West Ham United after the 2012 MLS season had commenced and early on suffered a heavy concussion which sidelined him for a number of matches.
But John is back in the Dallas starting line-up now and according to head coach Schellas Hyndman is again showing his best alongside Matt Hedges.
"These last few games were his best of the year," Hyndman said. "You can see a lot of strength when he and Hedges are put together. They're very tough to beat in the air."
And John himself feels that things are finally starting to come good after a topsy-turvy year to date.
"Personally, it's been an action-packed year," John said.
"Started off at West Ham, came back right before the season, took me awhile to get back into the lineup. I was feeling comfortable and then I had to deal with the concussion, a setback I hadn't really experienced before. That was difficult.
"Right now I'm getting back in the swing of things. I've got about five games under my belt since I've come back, so I feel pretty good."
