Lucas Neill has been released by UAE Pro-League club Al-Wasl.
The Dubai-based outfit confirmed the move on their official Twitter page on Thursday morning meaning the Socceroos skipper is on the hunt for a new club.
The former West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers, Everton and Galatasaray defender joined Al-Wasl from rivals Al-Jazira in August 2012 but has been waived prior to the completion of his one-year deal.
