Fulham striker Bobby Zamora is capable of making a big impact with England, insist his former West Ham United boss Alan Pardew.
Roy Hodgson has touted him as a possible 'unusual selection' in England's World Cup squad, but Zamora asked his Fulham manager to stop talking him up as he has already booked a summer holiday to Las Vegas.
Anyway, he qualifies for Trinidad and Tobago through his father and was selected for a World Cup qualifier in August, only to pull out through injury.
But Pardew told the Daily Mail: "Technically he can do it, the problem will be in his mind. But if the belief is there, he will be fine.
"He was always a good character to have in your team. We wouldn't have got promoted to the Premier League in 2005 without him."
