Ex-West Ham boss Bilic scouted by Socceroos for vacant manager's job

Football Federation Australia are considering Slaven Bilic to take over as the national team manager.

The Croatian was sacked by West Ham United in November after a disappointing start to the season.

There are a number of high-profile names listed as potential candidates, including RB Leipzig sports director Ralf Rangnick and Italian coach Gianni Di Biasi.

Goal.com claim that FFA CEO David Gallop made contact with the representatives of the aforementioned coaches on a recent scouting trip to Europe.

Bilic has expressed his desire to return to management and he has vast experience at international level.

The 49-year-old was manager of Croatia between 2006 and 2012.
