Lucas Neill is confident he will soon find a club after his contract with Turkish club Galatasaray expired at the end of last season.
The Australian national team captain, who has previously played with West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers and Everton among others, is preparing for tomorrow night's international friendly with Wales in Cardiff and although he is purely focused on that, he feels as though a contract at a new club is just around the corner.
"This week it's all about Australia," Neill told reporters. "I'd imagine from Thursday, within the next couple of day after that Wales game, I'm pretty confident something will be sorted.
"It's part of a footballer's career sometimes. I've been in this situation before and you've got to stay mentally strong and be a little bit patient.
"Obviously I'd love to be well and truly focused, having my goals set and working towards them. I'm just rolling with the punches, it's been a difficult off season for everybody and transfers, not just myself.
"For me it's just about somewhere I know I'm going to fit, play a lot of games, look after my body and still being able to give my best for Australia."
