Former West Brom striker Lee Hughes was delighted to give Sven Goran Eriksson a roaring start as Notts County chief with their victory over Bradford City.
He said: "I have to pinch myself. When I found out he was coming here I didn't believe it. He comes to training almost every day and it feels a bit unreal .
"I thought he did well for England. All the players seemed to respect him. He was in the top job and everybody here respects him. His role can only be a positive thing for the club. He didn't come into the dressing room before the game, but I saw him in the tunnel.
"He asked me for two goals and I gave him three. That's why, when I scored the third, I looked up to the directors' box and put my three fingers up. I think he got the message."
