Former West Brom boss Bryan Robson is convinced Alan Pardew is the right manager at the Hawthorns.
Robson reckons the Baggies are under-performing and should be higher than 17th, but admitted this season is now purely focused on survival.
"Looking at the squad of players that they've got, West Brom should be doing that little bit better," he told the Express & Star.
“You've just got to get confidence back into the team, but I'm sure they've got enough decent players here to stay in the Premier League, which is the main thing for them this year.
“The new manager nearly always gets a reaction from the players. It happens at every club, and Alan Pardew's got vast experience. He's done a pretty good job wherever he's been.
"He's got experience keeping a team in the division if you are struggling and that experience will come in really handy for him."
