Ex-West Brom boss Megson in frame for Scunthorpe job

Former West Bromwich Albion boss Gary Megson is in line for the Scunthorpe United job.

The Daily Star Sunday says Megson, 54, is favourite to take over from Brian Laws who was sacked by The Iron after last week's FA Cup First Round replay defeat by non-league Grimsby.

A Scunny source said: "Megson is in pole position - he knows how to get the best out of players and it is felt he is the ideal choice."

Former Hull City striker Dean Windass, 44, has also revealed he would like the job.
