Alan Irvine could return to football at Blackburn Rovers.
The former West Brom manager is wanted by Paul Lambert to be his No2 at Ewood Park, says the Mail on Sunday.
Irvine is free to return to football after negotiating a release from gardening leave with the Baggies.
Lambert agreed a three-and-a-half year contract and financial package last week, days after Rovers sacked Gary Bowyer.
