Vancouver Whitecaps president Bob Lenarduzzi has suggested that Nigel Reo-Coker will be remaining with the MLS club in 2014.
The 29-year old English midfielder is believed to be seeking an increased deal, both financial and of length, but Lenarduzzi does not believe that is necessary after the Whitecaps picked up his option at the conclusion of the 2013 season.
"That's one that continues to come up," said Lenarduzzi who hinted that the former Aston Villa and West Ham United man could be a target for clubs in the Middle East.
"I know that Nigel had referenced it last year, but he's on significantly more money for (2014) than he was last year.
"We're going along on the basis that unless he has an agent that decides to take him to the Middle East that he's going to be with us."
