Former Aston Villa striker Savo Milosevic apologised to England U21 players after the Serbian crowd aimed racist chants at them during last night's win.

England U21 coach Stuart Pearce confirmed the ugly scenes after the game.

He said: "Savo Milosevic, their technical director, has come to our dressing room and apologised for any behaviour that was unsavoury.

"I never want to see any football matches end like that, this is a sporting arena."
