Former Premier League star John Carew is set to appear in a new gangster film.

Ex-Aston Villa striker Carew, who spent more than five years in the Premier League, walked away from the game following his release from West Ham United after just one season.

Now the 35-year-old uses his sizable frame to intimidate witnesses instead of defenders in all action films including his latest release Hovdinger.

Playing the character of Ivan, Carew posted a picture of the film poster on social media.
