Former Aston Villa striker Gary Shaw has called on Gabby Agbonlahor to prove his love for the club.
Agbonlahor is out of contract at the end of next season and talks about an extended deal have been put on hold, along with those of Fabian Delph and Ron Vlaar, because of the uncertainty surrounding Villa this summer.
"I don't know what Gabby's going to do, to be honest," Shaw told the Birmingham Mail.
"He's a local lad, all his ties are around here.
"I don't know him that well to know whether he needs a fresh challenge or not. Only he will know that, but it's something he needs to think about over the next few months because he's at an important stage of his career."
