Ex-Villa star Merson: Mourinho wouldn't have done better than Eck

Former Aston Villa star Paul Merson has defended manager Alex McLeish.

Villa are safe, but McLeish's job is on the line.

Merson claimed: "If Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho or Arsene Wenger were in charge, Villa would still be where they are."
