Former Aston Villa star Lee Hendrie is keen to tell young players about the pitfalls of the pro game.
The 35-year-old, who now plays for non-league Tamworth, went bust this year after spending a fortune on houses and what he called "flash cars".
Hendrie, who earned a reported £35,000-a-week at the peak of his career, has been asked to tell his story to up-and-coming players in a bid to keep them on the straight and narrow.
"I've had people approach me, saying will I work for them, going into clubs, giving advice to youngsters," he said.
"Footballers get sidetracked and this guy said, coming from myself, who has been through it all, it might have an impact."
