LA Galaxy striker Juan Pablo Angel was delighted to be a part of the side's comprehensive 4-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday.
The former Aston Villa star scored his second goal of the season as the Galaxy overturned a one-goal deficit to down Sporting at The Home Depot Center and said it was close to the perfect game for the Los Angeles club.
"Tonight was the perfect game for us," Angel said.
"We played well. Our passing was still good, like it was against Dallas, New York, Philadelphia but we scored our chances."
Angel came off the bench just after the hour-mark to net the Galaxy's third goal with a nice finish in the 64th minute and admitted after the match that it was a bit of a relief to hit the back of the net.
"I'm happy," he addd, "Any striker will tell you a goal means a lot to you, that it doesn't matter how it comes.
"I'm more pleased that we played well as a team and we have played consistently in the last three or four games."
