Former Aston Villa chairman Doug Ellis is happy with the appointment of Paul Lambert as new manager.
Ellis was impressed by how Norwich City played last season under the Scot.
"I was more enthused about him than ever before after playing them at Norwich. I saw the way he had got his players working, particularly off the ball," Ellis told the Birmingham Mail.
"It was not just one or two of them, but the whole Norwich team. Through playing and watching football I have learned to watch the running off the ball more than the ball itself and Lambert's Norwich team thoroughly impressed me.
"I knew then that if McLeish was to leave then Lambert would be the ideal man for the job and I am glad Randy Lerner and Paul Faulkner agreed with me."
