Former Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is set for a return to the coaching game with news he is in discussions with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
Reports suggest that the deal the Saudi giants have offered is very lucrative and could net O'Neill a tax-free £4.5million over two years.
O'Neill left his post at Villa on the eve of this season and has been linked with a few jobs since including Liverpool and Leicester City which were taken by Roy Hodgson and Sven-Goran Eriksson respectively.
O'Neill is set to succeed Belgian manager Eric Gerets who will leave Al Hilal to take the Morocco national team job after guiding the Saudi outfit to the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League.
An Al Hilal insider said: "O'Neill would live like a king over here. The club leave no expense spared with their star employees.
"He can also bring his staff, but this is not a holiday - the club are committed to being the biggest in the region."
