Sacked Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish would welcome a second chance with Scotland.

McLeish admits he wouldn't turn down the opportunity to return to international management with Scotland.

But he told the Scottish Sun: "I don't want it to look like a case of 'Big Eck after Scotland job'. That's not what I'm saying. Where Scotland are concerned, I'd never say never.

"But I'd love Craig Levein to be successful in the job and he's showing signs of getting things right.

"The squad looks like it's moving in the right direction."
