Former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is returning to Borussia Dortmund.
The Birmingham Mail says the Scot will visit his former club to take stock and clear his mind after his sacking.
The 45-year-old Glaswegian remains a popular figure in Dortmund and his contacts at the Bundesliga club have invited him to observe training next month.
Lambert won the Champions League with BVB in 1997.
