Mitch Langerak took a rare starting chance with both hands as he helped Borussia Dortmund keep a clean sheet on Tuesday night.
The 23-year old former Melbourne Victory goalkeeper took the gloves for the German club in their second-round DFB Pokal (German League Cup) clash with Dynamo Dresden at Signal-Iduna Park and came up with the goods to record a shutout in the 2-0 win for Jurgen Klopp.
Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze were on target for Dortmund as Langerak held up his end of the bargain after some kind words pre-game from his manager.
"Mitch has earned his deployment since he has already held up well (in his debut against Bayern last season) and in training has become ever better," Klopp said.
