Bob Bradley has emerged as the number one candidate for the Egypt national team job.
The recently-sacked USA coach is set to interview for the vacant role with Egypt national team press officer Azmi Megahed confirming to MLSsoccer.com that the American is their first choice.
"The president of the federation will meet with the coach this week," he said. "He is maybe the top contender."
If Bradley is successful, he would become the first American-born coach to take on a managerial role since Steve Sampson coached Costa Rica in between 2002 and 2004.
