Ex-Udinese star Inler delighted making Napoli move

Former Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler is delighted with his move to Napoli.

Inler was unveiled by the club on Monday in curious circumstances when he appeared at the side's presentation of their new jersey wearing a lion mask.

"Napoli are a great club and I want to fly high with this outfit," said the Switzerland international.

"The important thing is that everybody gives their best on the pitch and that we all stay united."

The Azzurri had agreed a deal with Udinese at the start of the summer, but reaching a compromise over personal terms has taken some weeks.

"Now all that matters is Napoli," the man who had also attracted the interest of Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen continued.

"Every objective is important and it will be nice to play for all the major honours that are available on a weekly basis.

"I decided to come here some time ago. This is a new chapter for me so I want to give my best for the fans. I want to win something for them.

"Napoli, like Udinese, have some young champions. I'm very happy that I can now play alongside them."
