Ex-Udinese attacker Emam: Salah surprised me. He's Egypt's greatest

Former Udinese attacker Hazem Emam admits Mohamed Salah's success at Liverpool has surprised him.

Emam was the first Egyptian to play in Serie A.

He told TMW: "Honestly, no, I was confident he could do very well at Liverpool but I would have never expected at this point of the season, 43 goals, and then how many assists.

"It's something special and he's now considered the greatest Egyptian player of all time, our country has had excellent players, but what Salah is doing in these years is something incredible: the first Egyptian in the Premier League, an Egyptian who he is imposing himself as an absolute protagonist in such an important championship.

"When Liverpool plays it is a ritual, everyone in the house watching the reds, it is a real mania."
