Robbie Keane says it is time for reigning MLS champions LA Galaxy to stand up and defend their title.
The Galaxy were beaten 1-0 by San Jose Earthquakes in their opening Western Conference semi-final on Sunday night and now they need to overturn that deficit in the return leg on Wednesday.
Keane believes the team now needs to show plenty of character if they are to keep their title hopes alive following Victor Bernardez's injury-time winner at The Home Depot Center.
"It's up to us to show some character," Keane said. "We've done it before, and we can certainly do it again.
"We know we can score goals against anybody, so we know if we defend as a team and get our chances, I'm sure we'll certainly get a few chances and hopefully score."
