Ex-Tottenham striker Keane delighted with LA Galaxy start

Robbie Keane is delighted with the way things have started at new club LA Galaxy.

The Republic of Ireland captain, who joined the Galaxy from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, has now scored two goals in three league appearances and three in five in all competitions following his header in the weekend's 3-0 home win over Vancouver Whitecaps.

Following the match, Keane said it was vital for the Galaxy to get back to winning form following a midweek loss to Monarcas Morelia in the CONCACAF Champions League and added that it was a great feeling to be a part of a team that wins regularly.

"Most important thing tonight was bouncing back from mid-week and we managed to do that," he said.

"Like anything, when you're winning games and scoring goals it makes thing a lot easier, and that's been the case since I've been here. So far it's been going well and all-in-all, very happy."

As for his fitness after joining more than halfway through the season, the 31-year old indicated that he should be at his peak during the MLS play-offs.

"For me it's a month into the season, really. Each game I feel stronger and stronger, I think I've shown that the last few games and I hope to keep that going," he added.
