LA Galaxy has confirmed the signing of star striker Robbie Keane to a multi-year contract.
The 33-year old Republic of Ireland international has committed his future to the Galaxy after penning a new deal. Per club and league policy, details of the contract were not disclosed.
Keane joined the Galaxy from Tottenham in August 2011 and has gone on to become one of the top players in Major League Soccer.
Keane's biggest achievements in California have been lifting the 2011 and 2012 MLS Cups with the Galaxy as well as being voted the club's Most Valuable Player in both 2012 and 2013.
The former Wolves, Inter Milan, Leeds United, Liverpool and Celtic attacker, who is the current skipper of the Galaxy, has scored 34 goals and provided 21 assists in 55 MLS appearances since arriving in LA.
Keane's impressive CV also includes 62 goals in 131 international appearances for the Republic of Ireland to be his country's most capped player as well as leading goalscorer.
