Ex-Tottenham star Keane on target but LA Galaxy lose in Champions League

Robbie Keane scored his second LA Galaxy goal on Tuesday night but could not prevent the side from losing to Monarcas Morelia in the CONCACAF Champions League.

The former Tottenham striker received a pass from Landon Donovan from the left, took a touch, beat a defender and then slotted it past Morelia keeper Federico Vilar to give the visitors the lead in the 52nd minute.

It looked as though the Galaxy would hold on for maximum points but eight minutes from time, Morelia's Adrian Aldrete fired home past Josh Saunders from 20 yards before the home side netted a late winner through Miguel Sabah who powered home a header from a corner in injury time.

The win took Morelia to the top of the Group A table after three matches - equal on six points with the Galaxy - but ahead on goal difference.
