Lee Young-pyo has now arrived in Vancouver as MLS club the Whitecaps go about putting the finishing touches on his contract.
The 34-year old former South Korean international is set to join the Whitecaps after a stint with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal but a Vancouver official confirmed he had not yet put pen to a deal.
Lee, who has had an extensive career in Europe with the likes of PSV Eindhoven, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund, is now in the Canadian city and his representatives and the club are looking to work out the final details before he is formally unveiled as a Whitecaps player.
