Ex-Tottenham owner Sugar warns Blackburn over foreign takeover

Former Tottenham owner Lord Sugar has warned Blackburn Rovers about their takeover by Venky's.

Sugar last night urged caution as Blackburn Rovers became the ninth Barclays Premier League club to be bought by foreign owners.

After Indian poultry company Venky’s finally completed a £23million takeover at Ewood Park, the former Tottenham chairman tweeted: "Blackburn Rovers has just been sold to the Indian family, another PL club in foreign hands.

"I hope they know what they are doing."
