Rafael van der Vaart feels he is returning home after completing his transfer from Tottenham to Hamburg.
The Dutch midfielder spent three years with the German club between 2005 and 2008 and is looking forward to again thrilling the Hamburg fans after signing a three-year deal.
"It feels a bit like I am coming back home," he said.
"Everybody knows that I still have a strong bond with Hamburg and it is a compliment when a club wants you every year.
"This season was the right time."
