Ex-Tottenham keeper Pletikosa backing Modric for Real Madrid success

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa has backed Luka Modric over a move to Real Madrid.

Pletikosa is now with FC Rostov.

He told AS: "I'm one of [Modric's] best friends and I think Luka is doing well. Last year, Levy promised he could leave for the same amount [€40 million] if it was offered by Chelsea [but that didn't happen].

"What's bigger than Madrid? That happens once in a lifetime. Luka knows this. With Mourinho, he could win two of the next three Champions Leagues if Levy doesn't break his dream."
