The reformed New York Cosmos franchise has been dealt a blow with news that Paul Kemsley has stepped down from his position of Chairman/CEO.
The former Tottenham Hotspur director had played a key role in helping the revival of the franchise but has decided to pursue other interests with the Cosmos Board of Directors accepting the resignation.
The Cosmos are trying hard to become MLS' 20th team but so far have been unsuccessful in their pursuit as they have not been able to get a stadium deal done which they require to enter North America's domestic competition.
