Former Tottenham captain Gary Mabbutt feels chairman Daniel Levy should sell Luka Modric.
Modric has angered Spurs by blasting Levy in the Croatian press over the weekend.
Mabbutt told talkSPORT: "If they [Modric and Levy] have a meeting and then they don't end up singing from the same hymn sheet then it's going to be very, very difficult.
"Keeping unhappy players at clubs can be disruptive in the dressing room. No manager will want a player who doesn't want to play for the club, it will only transfer over to the other players.
"The club will then have to make a big decision.
"At the moment the chairman has made it very clear that Tottenham want to keep Luka at the club, we want to keep all of our best players, that's what's best for the club at the moment.
"If, after all of the discussions, things don't work out then Daniel will have to make a decision that will be best for Tottenham Hotspur football club."
