Former Tottenham and Barcelona boss Terry Venables is tipping Burnley to beat the drop this season.

The Clarets are working from a budget which is among the smallest in the Championship - let alone the Premiership, but El Tel says they will surprise all this term.

He told The Sun: "The Clarets are going to be the Premier League story of 2009-10.

"Owen Coyle did a fantastic job in getting them up and their cup runs last season, when they beat Fulham, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Brom, showed they have little to fear."
