Tim Sherwood is being backed to step into the managerial vacancy at QPR.
The former Tottenham manager is edging closer to replacing Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road after two other candidates ruled themselves out of the running.
Derby County boss Steve McClaren insists he is going nowhere anytime soon as he looks to get the Rams back in the Premier League while Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement has ended speculation that he was keen on the job in west London.
That has paved the way for Sherwood to return to management following his Spurs sacking in May 2014 with varying reports suggesting he is highly likely to take the reins at QPR at least for the remainder of the current campaign.
